For over twenty-five years I have been a teacher and a professional artist concentrating on portraiture in either charcoal or pastel.

I strive for what I feel to be the most essential ingredients of a portrait — it must be a strong likeness, reflect the subject’s characteristic spirit and be pleasing in design and composition.
